Peace Pipe
Carved from age old Jarrah wood salvaged from a small dwelling in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, this piece carries the memory of shelter, inhabitation, and time lived. The wood has been preserved and reworked into a peace pipe as an offering for reflection and reconciliation.
Standing at 54 cm in height and 9 cm in width, the form is designed to signal an inward turning. An invitation to meet the parts of the self that move through the world, and to see where peace might be offered, received, or restored.
The surface holds the marks of hand and tool, allowing the history of the material to remain present. Created to serve space, this piece supports moments of ritual, contemplation, and grounding. An offering for peace, both within and beyond the self.
