Oak Altar Dish
Carved and preserved from fallen oak, this altar dish holds a weight of time and touch. The form is guided by the tree itself, its natural edge left intact, the grain opening outward like a record of growth, weather, and listening.
Palm leaf fibre stitching moves through the split, to honour the moment of fracture in the trees life. A gesture of repair, of holding, of working with what the material offers rather than against it.
Made to serve space.
To rest incense, palo santo, or small offerings.
To hold ritual without insisting on it.
A piece from the Inbetween Worlds collection, created in 2025.
Each dish sits between function and presence, object and vessel, shaped by hand and attention.
Dimensions;
18cm diameter
5cm height
